Sequences can be revoked if they contain errors that cannot be corrected. You can read more about the circumstances under which sequences could/should be revoked in the Revocation section of the Data Submission and Processing document.
Note that revoking a sequence does not delete it. While it will not turn up in default searches, and will be clearly marked as revoked, it will still be publicly visible.
Deletion is generally not permitted by Pathoplexus, since this is intransparent and causes confusion when a record cannot be traced. Read more about Deletion and the circumstances when it may be appropriate (such as identifiable data, or data submitted without permission) in the Deletion section of the Data Submission and Processing document.
Revocation can only be done by members of the group that originally submitted that sequence.
The sequence is now revoked.
